Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.

I was thinking about how complicated life is and how there are no simple roads or paths.

We are all a tapestry of mistakes and hurts; a family tree of fumbled attempts, successes and failures, wins and losses.

But we don't have to confuse poor decision-making with your destiny.

It’s ok; we all make them.

We can let them take us somewhere new.

We can let them shape us into the person we truly want to become.

Perhaps the most important thing is not to let our mistakes discourage us from trying again.

Chapter 1.

I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I fall in. I am lost. I am helpless.
It isn't my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.

Chapter 2.

I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I still don't see it. I fall in again.
I can't quite believe I am in the same place. It isn't my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.

Chapter 3.

I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it there, I still fall in.
It's a habit. It's my fault. I know where I am. I get out immediately.

Chapter 4.

I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I walk around it.

Chapter 5.

I walk down a different street.

How can I stop making the make mistake over and over ?

Sometimes, mistakes aren’t one big blunder. Instead, they’re a series of little choices that lead to failure.  So pay attention to your errors, no matter how big or how small they might seem.

And recognize that each mistake can be an opportunity to build mental muscle and become better.

To gain clarity, we must overcome our tendency to blindly follow our instincts and reflexes, evaluate our assumptions and beliefs, and continuously self-reflect.
It’s harder, but it’s the price of clarity.

Coaching is the art of helping you to overcome your negative habits and patterns and gain clarity.

Hi, I’m David, a Vancouver life coach and mindfulness teacher. I work with clients throughout North America.

I help people help themselves by combing two powerful approaches.

Mindfulness makes you feel and think better.

You start to feel more relaxed, even in challenging times. Mental health improves. Your mind becomes a friend, not an enemy.

Co-Active Coaching makes you productive and more intentional about what you want.

Life coaching offers a safe non-judgmental space to talk through your struggles, brainstorm ways to solve your challenges & brings you closer to things you care about.
